There are risks I am willing to accept.
And some I am not.
I would probably take a moment to point out that social distance and social justice don’t play well together.
In any case, I know what holds my heart together.
Thankfully my congregation at Metro Life Church is going above and beyond to create a safe space.
In every way.
So if we can gather on beaches…
…and gather in protest…
…allow me to gather with my family.
The alternatives, as you can see, are not the best.
If I were to tell my wife and kids that I cannot be with them physically when they need me most, because it was best and safer for them, they’d be within their rights to question my motives.
I don’t fault anyone who chooses to worship freely at home.
But some things require more than a screen.
